Welcome to Greater Manchester Education Trust and thank you for your interest in the position of Principal at Levenshulme 11-16 High School. Levenshulme High School is a popular high-performing, multi-cultural inner-city girls’ comprehensive school, where outcomes in all areas are consistently amongst the very best in the country.
The school is located in the vibrant and diverse community of Levenshulme, in south Manchester, and has over 1,000 students on roll. The school delivers the highest standard of education for its pupils and is a focal point for its local community.
The core purpose of the school is rooted in its ethos of co-operative values and a commitment to nurturing students as confident, capable, and compassionate individuals. Examination results are consistently significantly above national averages and there is a comprehensive programme of extra-curricular activities. The school is committed to providing the very best standards of education for students, empowering them to be the leaders of the future who can make a valued contribution to a 21st century world as a global citizen.
The role of Principal is naturally a key role in our organisation and will require a candidate with the ability to effectively lead and develop colleagues at all levels to deliver the best possible educational experience for all pupils, enhancing the already considerable success of the school.

You will work directly with our CEO and experienced central team and in close collaboration with senior leaders from across the Trust in developing best practice in all areas of strategy. Our networks enable the development of practice at local, regional and national level.
